Web 1.0 can only be described as read only.it was very much in the hands of the specialized web developers and designers .Content was generated by these specialized parties .
Then came along the concept of web 2.0 a term popularized by orielly media which as a natural progression of the web 1.0 .Technologies were/are being developed that enabled the web to become readable and writable.Technologies such as XML,RSS, AJAx just to name a few
The concept of web 2.0 is based on the concepts of collaboration,information sharing and user generated content and as a consequence social networks,web based communities,video sharing ,blog,wikis
